I stayed here while using Greenleaf to see Khao Yai. The gardens are fantastic, and my room with air-con and hot shower was just fine - endless hot water felt great after a damp day trekking. The villas are beautiful, but I didn't see the interiors. For $34 (1,000 baht) for my single room, I was more than satisfied. Not a Western-style resort, though. Big frog orchestra after the rain!

The Real Thailand

We were treating our son and his family to a few days away and opted for this resort due to neatness of the national park: also, we thought the idea of 2 rooms together, with a kitchenette would be ideal for us.
First impressions are wonderful Lanna style bungalows amid well landscaped gardens.
Our bungalow was one of the colourful painted ones and initially we liked the Z'faded chic'  but ended up being disappointed that the kitchenette was no more than a washing up sink and standard, small fridge (not large enough for 4 adults and 2 children' s requirements). We had anticipated there being a cooking facility (e.g. microwave or mini hob); otherwise, why describe it as a kitchenette.
One bedroom was large enough for my son and his family; However my husband and I had to make do with a room only big enough for the rather hard mattress on the floor.
We were not impressed with the restaurant - breakfast was not great and it did not convince us to eat there in the evening.
The pool and waterfall looked impressive but we were not encouraged to use it as the base of the pool was dirty. We were advised the Jacuzzi was not working.
My son, having lived in Thailand for 3 years, felt the resort was overpriced
 for what was offered.
It has obviously been great in its heyday but the overall impressions was that it was not being looked after in the way a 4/5 star place should be.
We only stayed 1 night and cancelled the remaining nights.
The guy on reception was not happy that we left but accepted  that we were disappointed.
We did not think any of the other accommodation nearby was what we wanted.
We drove on to Phimai, and found very good bungalows at Riverside Resort, which also had a good restaurant. We stayed there for 4 nights.

Should have been better

The negative comments posted by other travelers in their reviews are accurate. The hotel room is dirty and desperately needs updating and there was no wifi. Paid 600 baht per night, the place next door is less than 500, across the street rooms are 590 baht. 

I recommend looking elsewhere for a room.

I wouldn't recommend staying here

Really beautiful garden, very nice Thai style architecture wooden houses.
Hotel not frequented much in high season of Jan 2013. 
Biggest problem: Room and bathroom not clean, sheets had spots and 2 or 3 holes. Dust everywhere. No bugs in our room, but other guests did complain about insects in their room.
Can certainly not recommend it.

Very beautiful setting, but not clean

I only recommend this hotel if you do a tour with Greenleaf because the proximity with its accommodation and the transfer from Pak Chong train station.

Garden is nice but rooms are not well-kept and the matress are too hard to sleep well.
