We weren't sure what to expect from Kanravee but we were so glad to have booked this place, Kate (Joey's sister) and her friend Emily were so helpful and hospitable! we even had dinner and breakfast with them a few days! 

Emily took us on a free tour to all the best places around Pai and the girls just wanted to do anything they could to help, Emily even rode in to town to change our boat ticket date and get us pizza when we were too hungover to do so! 

We will definitely stay here again if we come back to Pai! 

Me and my boyfriend stayed here on a wim. We were unable to see any reviews anywhere and booked this place on a gamble and im so glad we did.

Our hosts Joe and Joey were amazing and so welcoming. We forgot to arrange the pick up service from the bus station but we found a tuk tuk driver who called the hotel for us and within minutes Joey was there to pick us up. We were shown to our bungalow which we were jubious about as to whether there would be many gaps in walls/windows etc for creepy crawlies to find there way in (we've had bad past experiences) but to our surprise there was none. The bungalow had a little terrace area to relax and look at the beautiful scenery. This is such a great private little place with around 5 bungalows and a cheeky pony called Mickey.

Joey then offered to take us back to town to get some food. Although this place is not far from town (about a 10-15min walk max) I would recommend getting a motorcycle as you can travel all around the sight seeing points. The hot springs are a must and remember your swimming wear!!

I really cant rate the hospitality enough for these two guys and im so thankful.

If we decide to return to Pai we would definitely stay again!!

Couldn't have been better! 

Wonderful people-glad we gambled!

I stayed in the dormitory room. Not bad as far as rooms go. The problem is the location,  most of the action is on the other side of town. Laundry scale is definitely rigged. 

There are nice hammocks and nice chill area to do yoga, drink tea and relax.

The staff try really hard and were helpful picking me up from the bus station.

Better value elsewhere

We arrived in Pai at 5:30pm and didn't get to the guesthouse until almost 7pm as we couldn't find the place. No one in town knew where it was and it didn't appear on any of the maps and no one we spoke to even knew the road name. So if you do stay here, bring a map. We found Kanravee 1 and they gave us some rubbish directions to it. 

We finally found it after begging another hotel to use their wi-fi. It was cold and dark by this point. It's right out by the airport, around a 15min walk in to town via a badly lit road. 

The manager, Joey, is the nicest guy in the world and gave us a very warm welcome. The room was very sparse and the double bed only had a single duvet on it. Pai gets cold at night in Jan so this was far from ideal. 

The next morning we woke to find that there was no hot water. So after washing my hair in the freezing shower we were getting pretty fed up of this place. As we only stayed in Pai for two nights we didn't see the point in changing it. 

The only redeeming feature of this place was Joey and the other guy who was there - he gave us some of his BBQ and was really friendly. The view was ok and we were able to park our scooter. It is quiet too.
