D-Well Residence @ Don Muang 2

For 720 THB/ Night this place met all my expectations. I wanted to book direct but to my surprise the rate on booking.com was cheaper than on their website 800 THB/Night. It was a bit difficult for the taxi driver to find which costs 180 THB from Victory Monument. Check in process was swift with a friendly Thai receptionist. There are no elevators so after seeing my huge luggage she was kind enough to offer me a ground floor room 105. The room was clean and neat with a refrigerator, flat screen TV, quiet air conditioner, 2 towels, 2 tiny bar of soap and 2 bottles of shampoo. The shower was hot enough and there was a tiny balcony with a table and 2 chairs. Wi-fi connection was perfect and the TV had a great variety of satellite channels (probably better and more channels than the rest of the hotels in Bangkok). The bed is hard but was good for me. There are no glasses provided apart from 2 small bottles of water. You could order a massage in your room even though the lady from outside wasn't professional. There are not many happenings in the area. 7 Eleven a few meters to both end of the street with some local noodle stalls. The Filipino receptionist during check out was friendly and nice. A free shuttle to Don Muang Airport every hour was a great plus. Overall a perfect accommodation for a stopover!
