Mania Guesthouse

Our room was really nice. The room is quite big, there are plenty of place where you can hang out your wet clothes for drying. AC worked well. The bathroom was clean, and there was safety deposit box. The location is really good, it is close to the pier, there plenty of choice of restaurants, but it is little bit noisy, because the room had street view, this street was so busy, and the falls were so thin, so you could hear everything from the other rooms as well. The only thing that I did not like was that the owner was rude and mistrustful when we checked in. We did not have enough cash to pay the rotal amount of the price and key deposit. We told her no problem, we put all lagguages in the room and go to change and a little bit later come back to pay the price. The lady told us, ok but then she keep our passports till we pay the price. We were very suprised and annoyed, because before we had already stayed many hotels in Thailand, and there had not been not any problem if we could pay a few hours later. And anyway that's why they always make a copy of your passport as well. We explained it to the lady and she understood that there is not any circumstences when a foreigner can keep our original passports. So she let us put the lagguages in the room, and our first way was to change money and back to pay. But later there were not any problem at all. But I think if you run a hotel, you should trust in people more. This approach is not so nice after a long journey.
