We absolutely loved our stay here and enjoyed our experience far more than the pricier hotels we've stayed at.
Great service, beautiful views, perfect pool temperature, good restaurant food and very spacious/well lit rooms.

Exceeded all expectations

-Your receive the personal touch from the moment you arrive until the moment you leave 
-The resort only has around 20 rooms and 6 bungalows, we opted for the standard double room, but wished we had paid extra for the sea view rooms with a balcony once we saw the views
-Great breakfast with plenty to choose from with salads/fruit/waffles/eggs cooked your way all with the welcoming Mr E all served on the edge of the beach near the pool
-Lovely pool with plenty of sun beds, and big bean bags to relax around the pool area right on the beach, same problem exists here as with many other hotels is that guests will put towels on the sun bed and not use them until late afternoon leaving a shortage for guests who do want to use a sun bed, although we never had a problem as actually used the sun bed all day, one of my dislikes is hotels that allow guests to reserve sun beds and don't use them
-Lunch and dinner is available from 1300-2000 with some fantastic Thai dishes at low prices and good value and great staff service and cooking we also tried some of the local restaurants which all cost more for food and drink
-Ive read other reviews which say there is nothing near this resort which is incorrect, there is many local Thai restaurants all within 5-10 minutes walking distance, Pizza restaurant 5 minutes walk away, a rock bar 5 minutes walk along the beach open till 2200, and a Family Mart 10-15 minutes walk if you want to stock up your room with snacks and drinks. Next to the Family Mart is a local fruit stall selling lovely fruit
-You can hire a moped from the reception for 200 baht a day and can easily explore the Island in 1 day or just use it to get around locally which is cheaper then taxis, generally taxis are expensive in Sumui as there are no Tuk Tuks on this island
-You can also arrange a taxi from the reception if you need to get to the Airport or Port for ferry to Mainland they use their own car and staff so costs are lower
-Can highly recommend this resort if you want to relax away from the crowded beaches

Beautiful resort

Beautiful. Best hotel we stayed in Thailand. Staff are so friendly and helpful. Booked up day trips for us then made us a packed breakfast to take with us, so sweet. Rooms cleaned fanatically every day. Comfy bed, bright colourful rooms. Amazing pool, comfy sunloungers, tasty drinks and food. Go for the garlic chicken and rice, delicious. Quite area, I would eat at hotel every night as we tried 3 different restaurants around the hotel and none of them compared to the hotel wish we stayed there each night. Amazing value for money!! Perfect stay thank you 

BEST HOTEL 

I stayed in an Airbnb in Bophut prior to this Lamai hotel, and paid more as I wanted to see a different beach. I think it’s a good hotel for couples and families, but for a solo female without a motorbike it was not a good choice. When I asked the staff about cabs they couldn’t help, and when leaving this morning I found out it was just a communication barrier & rather than saying they didn’t understand, they had me walking around at night searching for transportation in the dark (cabs are available if you speak to the right person). The restaurant next store is good called Uncle Rangs, and the Renaissance next store is very nice for those looking for a resort with great service & food options. If staying in Lamai & wanting to be closer to anything this is not the best option. It’s clean and family friendly, but I’m guessing prior solo traveler reviews didn’t really want to do or see much. I did like the free kayak. 

Nice but I Can’t Recommend for Solo Travel

Palm Coco Mantra really grows on you. The decor in our room was a bit outdated, but still nice and cute and VERY clean. The rest of the hotel is GORGEOUS, and if you think about it, how much time are you really spending in your room anyway? The resort grounds are wonderful, day or night. The pool is the cleanest I've probably ever seen, and there are nice comfy chairs to lounge in. Breakfast is free every day, and always different and very tasty. The staff, especially Mr. E, were all so extremely kind and accommodating. They sorted us out with ferry tickets and taxis and anything else we needed. Don't miss this resort, it's a real gem! Private beach and all!

Nicest resort staff! Amazing place!

We have returned from palm coco after 2 weeks,we had a bungalow in the ground the room was a decent size with a big bathroom with separate bath and shower and kept very clean by nice staff members,you could rent a motorscooter direct from the hotel for 200 baht (£4,50) a day the scooters are in good condition and well maintained. The only downside of this hotel is the restaurant and bar close at 9 pm.if you want to walk to lamai it takes about 30 minutes a taxi from the hotel is less than £5 you can book one from reception, food at the restaurant is quite good and inexpensive, the staff are very polite and friendly

Quiet

After a four-day round trip, we ended up at the Palm Coco Mantra. We wanted rest, relaxation and sea sounds. And that's exactly what we got. The Palm Coco is a family-run resort, and you know that. We've never been so warmly received. Our bungalow (43) has a wonderful view of the sea, the pool and the garden. The bungalow is very colorful and exceptionally decorated, but it's a matter of taste. It's super clean, there's air conditioning, ventilation, a refrigerator with drinks, a more spacious bed and a lounge on the terrace.

Guests with Friends

The hotel is super situated on a small, quiet, flat sandy beach. The whole facility is very well maintained and the staff are very friendly and very hardworking (in the restaurant almost too much partly) The rooms are generously cut and have a great view of the sea and the garden and a large balcony depending on the category. The pool is also super, but unfortunately there were many guests who appeared to be longer in the hotel and already in the early hours blocked their wheelchair beds to then only use these hours later but all day long, this and partly the over-friendly treatment for the regular guests in the restaurant area suffer a (for) unpleasant love atmosphere which we as individual travellers appreciate.

One of the best hotel experiences I've had in Thailand - Its a beautiful resort by the sea. My partner and I stayed here for a week and arrived on New Year's Eve. When we arrived we were offered to be with the hotel's arrangement that evening, a countdown party on the beach. Had an incredibly nice evening, with entertainment (by the staff) and live music. Again thank you!

Stayed in a villa overlooking the swimming pool and the sea. Fantastic! 
The whole resort is clean and taken care of (some of the best cleaning I've experienced in Thailand earlier). Small positive details; flippers, repellent etc. in the room, Friendly staff- always smiling and helpful, nice balcony and chairs, great view, beautiful pool, great beach and direct access to the sea. 
Very good food and breakfast!

Great place to relax, lay on the beach, dive in the pool and just enjoy life. We loved it and if we ever come back to Samui we will stay here.

Fabulous place with outstanding quality

My husband and I stayed at Palm Cocoa Mantra for 3 nights after a busy month in SE Asia. It was the perfect place to be. The staff were amazing and so friendly and the hotel was clean and in a great location. Thank you to the staff for making us feel so welcome. We will be back.
