Chills Resort

I had never been to the island before, but it seems I found a really amazing place to stay. It's a quiet and secluded little resort with just what you need if you want to relax, yet close enough to things if you want more excitement. The bungalow was clean and modern enough, that staff were so lovely and the food was amazing. The small beach is a wonderful place to watch the gorgeous sunset and the water is the perfect temperature for a paddle or a swim. If you want a larger beach and more open swimming, Zen beach is a 15 minute walk away or a 5 minute scooter ride. You can walk to the local shops and restaurants or hire a scooter or jeep to travel further afield if you feel like exploring. There is a multitude of different healthy vegan and veggie and juice cafes and restaurants close-by and for those interested in yoga and healing, enough to satisfy your needs as well. Massage places are also abundant; we didn't find a single place to recommend and I feel this is quite personal in terms of what people enjoy. If you speak to Wassana or Eric (the couple who run the resort), I believe they have a woman who will come to your place to perform a Thai oil massage. I will definitely come to stay again when I visit the island. It really is the perfect place to rest and recuperate.
