159 reviewsKhao Lak Yama is FAB but don’t bother reading any further if you aren’t prepared to rent a moped or a car! It’s set back on the opposite side of the beach to the main road but easily accessible. Taxis are available but the cost would add up if you used them a lot. The resort is tranquil and peace itself (apart from a few annoyingly noisy children). Personally I would be happier if it was adults only, certainly because of the proximity to the beach etc. The staff are WONDERFUL. Can’t do enough for you. Always a happy smile and wave. They work extremely hard to make the restore pristine. The pool area is an oasis, beautifully designed with comfortable beds. The water is a great temperature, very easy to float for hours on end!!! Breakfast is delicious, fresh omelettes every day for us! Our room was huge, basic on some levels but the beds were comfy and AC cold. Best walk in shower ever, tons of hot water and powerful, loved it. Everyone works hard to make sure that you have everything you need. A gem, but as stated above, quite a way out of town.
