Eco Place Hotel

The Eco Place is an excellent alternative to the larger more established, and indeed more expensive hotels within the city of Khon Kaen. Initially I wasn't sure about the location, as it is a little way from the bars and eateries where I usually spend some time when in the area. However, once I got my bearings and realized it was easier to negotiate the city traffic and one way systems in the back of a tuk tuk, rather than at the wheel of my car it wasn't much of a problem The hotel reception is fine, if a little cramped, the staff to a person friendly and accommodating. They even threw in a couple of breakfast vouchers, that I wasn't really entitled too. I stayed in a Deluxe room which was spacious with a large bed that promised and delivered sound sleep, no complaints about the facilities. The internet, the bathroom, the shower and the decor was all fine. Above all the Eco is great value for money. The only minor negatives would be, nobody to assist with luggage on arrival, no soap in the sink, and was only left one towel rather than two on one occasion. All in all a good two night stay, and yes I shall definitely return. 17/20
