Punnara Boutique House

I stayed here for 3 nights on business. We had to be way out somewhere in Thanyaburi (this hotel was still about 40 minutes away from where we needed to be). The location is remote and right beside a highway so I guess it's travellers on the road or people like me who need to be in the area who were staying here. This is very much a Thai hotel in that it was only Thai people staying here (except me) since it really is the middle of nowhere of a Bangkok suburb. It sits beside a main highway so there is a lot of traffic however. The man at reception is very polite but doesn't speak that much English. The hotel only takes cash and no cards. The room was very big and very clean and the air conditioning worked well. I never figured out how to turn off the TV so I just unplugged it. I did have problems with the bathroom: leaky sink, toilet didn't flush, the water hose by the toilet leaked. But when I told reception, it was fixed during the day. Wifi worked well. There are a few restaurants beside the hotel, some nicer looking, some just the usual Thai outdoor restaurants. They were not all open. These seemed to be like roadside stops though for passing drivers. We ate at one one evening and the food was really good and very cheap, much cheaper than you find in the city. Overall, if you need to be in the area, this is a good choice. You will definitely need a car, but you likely won't be in the area without one. I can recommend staying here.
