Khao Sok Riverside Cottage

We booked the 2 night 3 days Riverside and Raft house package. The accommodation at riverside was lovely. The family bungalow was much bigger than expected with one double and 3 single beds. And a huge porch with two hammocks. Travelling as a family of 4 with 2 teenagers this was ideal. The staff at both Riverside and Keeree Warin (floating bungalows) were welcoming, lovely and helpful. Two of us had massage and two of us did the canoeing. The massages were good (thai pressure/firmness) and the canoeing was a lot of fun, with stunning scenery. The young guides who take you don’t speak much english but they are polite, helpful and fun. The food at Riverside was delicious for dinner and breakfast. The food at the raft house was very basic but we expected this. The accommodation at the raft house exceeded our expectations and being a family of 4 we had a bungalow to ourselves (upstairs/downstairs and two bathrooms) * Be aware that if you are 2 people booking you may have to share a bungalow with two other people. Bedrooms and bathrooms are separate but you have to share the deck and outdoor seating area. We saw many different types of birds, some monkeys, spiders, snakes and wild boar. There are lots of big fish you can feed around the raft house restaurant area. And swimming and kayaking was good fun. Make sure you have shoes with a good grip for the jungle hike.
