Phala Garden Home

I recently stayed at this hotel. It is a lovely setting, within walking distance of the beach. Each room is a separate building, and you can choose contemporary or Thai style. There are some issues you should know before making a reservation. The tv only has Thai channels, the water pressure is very low, and I had internet connectivity problems. The staff could learn a few things, such as opening the door to the refrigerator if they are going to unplug it between guests. On the other hand, the rooms are lovely, as are the grounds. There are three friendly dogs, chickens, and two ducks that have free reign over the place. It is super quiet, and the beds are comfortable. The aircon is quite good. Breakfast was superb. The first morning, I had a decent western-style breakfast. After that, I had excellent Thai breakfasts made to order. Best of all, the staff is very friendly and helpful. I was continually asked if I wanted anything. Everyone smiled all the time. If you can do without the television, I heartily recommend this hotel. It would be great for honeymooners, and I would rather stay here than at a much larger hotel right on the beach that I previously reviewed.
