Bangtao Tropical Residence Resort & Spa

I’ve just stayed there with my children for two weeks and I really can’t see what some people are complaining about? Sure it’s a bit quiet but what exactly do you want on holiday? Sure there are potholed roads in the area but have you been to the Far East before? We had a huge top floor space with a private pool (massive pool downstairs too), two huge bathrooms (I’ve stayed in some rooms smaller than one of them!), three TV’s and no issues. The apartment itself was immense and a young family would love this place! It’s in a quiet area but both Bang Tao and Surin beach are within 15 minutes walk and there are plenty of restaurants even closer - the all-brilliant Riverside, Audy’s and Nok and Joes to name but a few. The staff, as they usually are in Thailand, were smiling and helpful, their ‘request’ breakfast was a bit limited but you could have as little or as much as you want - fruit, toast, juice, eggs, bacon etc etc - and I’m happy nothing was wasted as it usually is at the big hotel buffet’s. I’m not sure how it’s run, I think the rooms are all privately owned but I’m not complaining, I’ve stayed all over Phuket (and indeed Thailand..) with friends and family and this was a gem of a place in a very peaceful location.
