Pachkit House

This hotel is 3 stories set back from the street behind a nice front garden and timber buildings. The hotel itself is quite old and the rooms also are old, but the features make this place an absolute must stay. They have a modern, clean outside pool, 10m long. They have a new lift with easy access. The towels in the rooms are big and thick and the water pressure is great. The Tv is old but plenty of stations, the aircon looks new but took a while to cool the room, the rooms have a little extra space with an alcove with a desk and chairs and an outside balcony. They provide a basic cooked breakfast which is great considering the room price was 600thb. There is an amazing german buffet out the front, seperate business Auf der Au garden. The street this place is on is a one way that is a main thoroughfare through the old city, so plenty of tuk tuk, songtaew and transport all the time, even though it is a good walk from most central places. If you are here on a sunday night, you are only 300m walk from the western end of the sunday night walking street market, a nice bonus.
