Pemberley House

Visually attracted to the quaint of Pemberley House Hotel with its pink facade outlook from the booking site, I stayed for 3 days 2 nights from 23 to 25 March. The garden outsides the main entrance is neatly arranged with wide variety of charming flowers that made the English looking designed seems extremely welcoming. That was my 1st impression upon arrival. Checking in was a breeze as the front office staff knew exactly who their customer was. The staff merely called out your name before reaching the admin office. This hotel only has 7 rooms to offer at the moment. Coming end of this year, they will have another 5 rooms adding to their coffer at the 3rd level which are currently under renovation. I didn't feel any disturbances during my stayed as most of the wet works were done before my arrival. This is a 3-level building with no lift. The 1st level makes up of the Admin Office, 2 Deluxe rooms and Irada Bistro where breakfast is served. Walking up the staircase to the 2nd level comprises of 3 superiors, 1 corner deluxe and 1 corner family rooms. I stayed at the Superior with extra large king bed and balcony. The room setting is comfortable, bed is soft but the shower is rather small after drawing in the curtain. There is no safe in the room and you may need to keep your belongings in your luggage and locked it all the time, given that the room door lock is the cheap usual office kind you see in commercial building with a push button from inside the room. This is rather unusual to match a quaint design. The key is attached to an oval shape plastic block and there is no need to insert into a holder for activating the electricity. Breakfast is provided by the hotel and comes in 3-selection which the front office will confirm the order with their guest during checking in and issued the coupon for you to claim your breakfast set, namely, Continental, Thai porridge and Omelette with supplement of bread toast and unlimited coffee and tea. Although the limitation of choice is there but was sufficient to fill me until afternoon. The hotel staffs are friendly and helpful. Especially so is Irada and her staff from Irada Bistro who served breakfast every morning. I were there one morning and had used up my coupons for two and my business partner didn't turn up for breakfast until 12:30 noon (breakfast is served from 6 am to 10 am every morning) at her Bistro. Irada without hesitation gave a replacement set since the earlier order was left cold and not eaten. This was unexpected as it was after the breakfast hours and was the courtesy of Irada and her Bistro. Irada, thank you. This hotel is located in Nimmana Haeminda where an abundance of street foods, cafes, restaurants, pubs, spas and massage shops are closely concentrated. It is a walking distance to Maya Lifestyle Shopping Centre and the airport is within close proximity, with a 15 to 20 minutes ride from the hotel. I would recommend this hotel if you like a comfort kind of family setting with minimum crowd and I look forward to coming back to this hotel if ever I go to Chiang Mai.
