We had a fantastic stay over the New Year period. We had a little trouble finding the place, suggest ringing ahead and the owner will help pick you up from the train, bus or wherever in Cha-am. Or get a taxi. Everyone we met there was so friendly, we felt like we were welcomed into the family. The area is quiet and peaceful. The best way to get around is by motorbike/moped, easily hired in the village. The food in the local bars and restaurants was amazing, and very good value for money. The lady at the hotel was very helpful with tips and directions on where to visit, how to get there and how much things should cost. This was great because you could gauge how much money to take around and new how not to get ripped off. She is also an excellent cook (the pumpkin curry was exceptional). Such a lovely, relaxing trip, would definitely recommend.
