Chom Tawan Resort

This was the 7th place my girlfriend and i have stayed at during our 2 months in Thailand and we loved it. Ok its not a 5 star resort and doesn't offer a lot of facilities but what it does offer is a beautiful, tranquil enviroment at a very competitive price (900 baht per night). We booked into a garden view room for 10 days and instantly fell in love with it. The rooms are basic but of good size, are clean, well maintained and inviting and include fridge, safe, tv with english channels, wifi which worked perfectly in our room, powerful aircon, very comfortable beds and a shower which was both hot and reasonably powerful. The rooms were cleaned daily and water and towels replenished also daily. The grounds are beautifully kept with a good sized well maintained pool and patio area and its a delight to sit on the terrace at anytime of the day and enjoy the peace and quiet that Chomtawan resort offers. Theres very little noise even during the day but early evening is greeted with the sound of birds and little else and with the beach is just a few minutes walk away its the perfect place to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city. There are numerous small restaurants just a few hundred metres away and regular taxis leaving from right outside the resort for the Hua Hin night life. The staff here are extremely friendly and though English isn't their native tongue there was never any real problem being understood. If you're looking for a full on, party packed place then this isn't for you but if you want the beach and tranqility at an affordable price then we're sure it is. Would we recommend this place??... absolutely!! We're are leaving for Krabi tomorrow and would love to pack this place away and take it with us........
