I just returned from my scheduled March 2025 visit to Bangkok for medical consultation and interventions. As an elder woman travelling solo, I lucked out finding the perfect location and accommodation to serve my overall needs. Oakwood Residence Sukhumvit Thonglor is not only within walking distance, the Residence provided free shuttle service to and from the hospital. Given my current mobility issues, this proved to be an unanticipated gift! But I digress…… From the moment I arrived, the staff was incredibly welcoming, attentive to my needs and focused upon ensuring the check-in progress was seamless. This heightened sensitivity to customer satisfaction continued throughout my 5-day stay. The room was clean and functional. For example, with the good-sized refrigerator, I easily stored items purchased from an excellent whole-foods grocery a mere 2 minutes’ walk from Oakwood. After full active days, it was a pleasure to return to my comfortable retreat! The hotel’s amenities, including the ‘office’ desk area, rooftop pool and delicious breakfast exceeded my expectations. I look forward to returning next year, especially to revisit the friendly, helpful and supportive staff members who created this exceptional ‘home-away-from-home’ experience.
