Marriott Bangkok Sukhumvit

This was a 4 night visit staying in a King Executive Room with Executive Lounge Access and were very pleased with the whole end to end Marriott experience. We used the hotel's limo service to and from the airport. Picked up on time and a seamless transfer to downtown and the hotel. A great start to our break. The hotel is well situated next to Thong Lor Skytrain station, so access to the rest of the city is simple and easy. There are also plenty of local dining and drinking options nearby, as well as some great choices in the hotel itself. Check in was quick, friendly and efficient and we were quickly in our room on the 35th floor. Decent size with a good bed, small seating area with table and sofa, and a well equipped bathroom with a good shower and a large bath looking out over the city. Very clean and maintained well each day, although surprisingly for a hotel of this standard, there was no evening turn down service. The Executive Lounge is on the 40th floor, so has great views. It's relatively small, so gets busy at peak times, but we always managed to get a seat. Food and drink were great, and all of the staff very helpful. There are multiple eating and drinking choices in the hotel. The star is the Octave on the top three floors. We didn't eat there, but had drinks both on the top floor and the one below. Great atmosphere and amazing views watching the sunset. We had dinner at the District Restaurant one evening. A good steak choice! And we used the 57th Street Restaurant for breakfast each day. The typical buffet approach with many options and good quality. We chose this over the Executive Lounge Breakfast option purely on options available. Overall this was an excellent choice. A very good hotel, well located, and with good quality and attentive staff throughout. Highly recommended.
