Kenzan Luxury Mobile Camp

Kimondo was a beautiful glamping experience! Samuel and the team that greeted us gave us the traditional welcome with the Jambo Bwana song we later heard throughout our trip, which we loved. This was the first camp we stayed at on a four camp safari circuit as a family of four, kids ages 13 and 10. The tents were great and we especially enjoyed the outdoor showers looking out on the fields of wildebeest and zebras. The food was always great and we loved sitting by the fire in the evenings watching "Bush TV" with drinks and good conversation. Our guide, Stanley, was amazing! We highly recommend him. He got us up close to lions (and tiny lion cubs), a cheetah eating its kill, a leopard and leopard cubs, elephants, giraffes, many hippos, monkeys, baboons, a jackal carrying away the head of a gazelle, and so many other unique sightings. We loved sundowners on the river, and then of course, there was the migration, which we came for. We had a fantastic view of the wildebeest migration across the Mara river and even saw a baby wildebeest get taken down by a crocodile. Later on, we saw an elephant crossing on the river too with about 20 elephants and babies. Such beautiful wildlife all around us, more than we could have even imagined. Kimondo was the perfect place to start our safari and all the game viewing spoiled us for the rest of our trip. Thanks again Asilia team! We had the perfect stay and loved every minute of it.
