I stayed at Milele Lodge four nights.
The worst place in this price range so far
(around $ 35).
No information in the notice of no hot water, very dirty, torn towels, high humidity, cockroaches and very modest breakfasts (scrambled eggs from one egg). 
Nice service after all.

The stay at Milele Lodge was awesome! The stuff is very caring and friendly. The food was very very good especially the breakfast was the best we had on our 4 weeks trip trough Tanzania. The value is simply amazing! It’s hard to find a cheap private lodge like this.

Awesome Place to Relax!

Love this place! Really beautiful, great breakfast, really friendly and nice people working here. Highly recommend! Try the fish curry for real authentic food. Very chilled in the evening with some cider:) We would absolutely come back again.

Love this place

Dutch is extremely friendly. We went there with 6 other friends. They have a tasty natural welcome drink and breakfast is really good. Its relaxing and quiet place. Just bring some repellent when traveling in zanzibar because there are tons of mosquitoes .

great people, great accommodation

While we didn't stay here, we did enjoy a sit down meal of seafood with plenty of cold drinks.  The people were very nice and the food was delicious!  This lodge is not directly on the beach, but it is quite close.

Great Seafood and drinks

Milele Lodge is situated in Michamvi, a small village away from the biggest tourist buzz, here we could really enjoy the secluded beach. Take long walks, swim and just enjoy this paradise Island. 
The room was nice and clean and had everything we needed, even if it is quite simple. 
The garden is amazing, so relaxing and still well kept. To lay in one of the hammocks overlooking the flowers, palmtrees is truly holiday. 
The restaurant has tasty food and in the evening there was a Bonfire and some people playing drums. 
A paradise on Earth and the best holiday ever!!

Truly relaxing and beautiful place

If you are looking for a place to chill and relax after a busy time in Tanzania , this is the place to be. I started with Dar es Salam, then to Stonetown. I ended my trip with 3 days in Michamvi and I really rested . The food was good but pricey . It was quiet and I enjoyed sitting in the garden but there were too many flies and mosquitoes at nights . There was also bonfire and music at night that I thoroughly enjoyed . The staff were very friendly and helpful . , especially Dutch. 
I will stay again if I want some peace and quiet definitely 

Very quiet and peaceful 

Milele Lodge is a very peaceful place to stay. The staff is really nice, especially Dutch was very friendly and helpful. The Garden area is truly a highlight, offering you a peaceful and relaxing chillout area where food is served as well. The menu is really good for such a small lodge, offering a variety of foods. Also the bar is really cute and in general the prices for food and drinks are really affordable. Rooms are rather basic but clean with good bathrooms.  Nice atmosphere and guests, definitely recommendable even if it is not directly at the beach, it is easy to get there to enjoy.

Nice and peaceful hideaway

We visited Miele Lodge/Kae Zanland in Sep/Oct 2016 (8nights)
The place is very peaceful and relaxing.. 
All of the staff are really friendly, helpful and always here if you need anything! We felt like that place is our second home and the stuff is our family!! The owner(Talib) is really nice person, which help you anytime, anywhere and anything. Also can help you to organize the trips around to see the real Zanzibar. 
We also met some kind of special friendly man in this relaxfull place (his name is Dutchi)-he is a bar man / organizer.. He is here, whatever and whenever you need.
The food is really good, amazing fresh breakfasts, tasty lunch's and dinners for really good prices.
The room is very clean and all the windows are protected with mosquito nets, like bed. Outside in the sharing big peaceful garden there is the gardener, which takes care that everything is perfect all the time. 
The location of this magical place can shows you how near is to the beach, where you are welcomed to paradise. Different story like in other "tourist" places in Zanzibar. 
If you want to take relax, enjoy the vacation and not be lost in a mass of tourism, than we recommend you this place!
If we will come back, it will be for sure that on this place.

Friendly, peaceful relaxing place

Very cool stuff and far away from the touristic mass tourism. We've been there 2  weeks and enjoyed a lot. Clean rooms and a wunderful open air restaurant and bar. 200 m to the beach. If you want to visit the other beaches you need just take a dalla-dalla. Cheap and fast. And a funny experience! We will come back for sure.
