What a beautiful place run by such kind and welcoming people. Staying at the Swiss Garden Hotel is like taking a time out from the rush of everything. Have stayed twice. The staff are flexible, there is Internet access, each room has a spacious bathroom. Tip: go and find the giant turtles hiding in the garden.

We stayed for 1 night on our way to Zanzibar.  Rooms were clean, bed comfortable, air conditioning was perfect.  The lounge area for evening drinks etc. was a very appealing.  Our dinner was a buffet with 2 other travelers, tasty and reasonable.  Service before during and after was first rate.  Transfers to and from the international were professional & courteous.

My one day stay in this wonderful place gave me remarkable experience. Place too quite to find in the city like this. is the place where your mind can be free s for quite long time as you wish.  
Workers are really nice, They speak very friendly and all always on time.

I have stayed at Swiss Garden many times, and last year went somewhere else because I just couldn't work and stay there -- between the construction next door, and various other problems. Last week I was there for a week. It's better than ever. The  apartment blocks next door are now finished, and are much less obtrusive than I thought they would be. We still get the same amount of sun. The food was both excellent and different every night (only one night of barbecue).  I used the laundry twice, and things came back the same day. The wifi had one iffy day, but there is a free dongle to borrow, so email was still possible, and for the rest of the week it was fine. The breakfast round table still has homemade bread and everything else it always had, including interesting conversations with other guest, most of whom are in Dar for work-related reasons. I'm almost certain the mattresses in both the rooms I stayed in were new. For someone travelling for work, hotels in strange cities can be lonely and isolating, and I've always loved the mingling of guests that takes place here. I love this place -- and every time I'm here, I meet someone I've met before, so I'm not alone. It's great to have some social contact that is unrelated to work. The garden itself is lovely.

A little haven in a growing city

wonderful experience

Back in form!

I love this place!

Quiet place away from the city madness but right inside a residential area. Traveled for work and found it okay for working from the room, no TV in rooms to distract you. The place can get really lonely though and it's not for someone out to have fun. 

The outdoor dinner/bar area under the makuti was superb for the evening lounging. We were about 5 guests only and we would all meet for breakfast/dinner on the outdoor area.
