We chose this hotel for our conference in Zanzibar due to its location near the airport and Stone Town, providing great convenience for attendees. The friendly staff ensured that our rooms were maintained with daily cleaning and fresh linens, and despite its proximity to the airport and city, the hotel provided a peaceful ambiance for a restful stay. The direct access to the public beach added an enjoyable aspect to our downtime. Furthermore, the hotel features a spacious conference room, tasty food, and a comfortable atmosphere, making it a great venue for productive meetings and successful business events.


Great place for a conference!

One of best places iv stayed and im well travelled. Staff are truly amazing  its a true boutique piece if heaven hotel. Food wonderful cocktails lovely right on the beach. A perfect place to relax. Fantastic Wifi anywhere you go never had a problem. If there is any negative its there is no shops arround but for us we wanted peace quiet and tranquility good food and drinks which we hot in abundance.

Zanzibars Gem

I with my wife had a greet honeymoon from Zanzibar ocean view for 4 days the services were amazing the stuffs are so friend and ready to help all the time rhe wife was working so great the room was was very clean and everything was perfect we were also provided room services every day during our stay thank you so much Ali from the restaurant and Adila from reservation you guys deserve 👏👏. I would like to recomend this hotel to everybody who want good memory。

Wonderfull stay

The rooms were basic but comfortable and cleaned every day and have a fridge but no closed wardrobe.  Towels and sheets were clean everyday. The bathroom was very basic and the water pressure was awful, the shower was nothing more than a few drips. Breakfast was very basic. The staff are all really helpful and friendly, wifi doesn't work in all areas of hotel. Advertised as having its own private beach, thankfully this wasn't the case as we spent a lot of time watching the locals playing football etc on the beach, as there was nothing else to do. Very large rats running around the garden areas.  Need to be careful if walking to the restaurants at night, as I had my bag snatched off my arm by guys on a scooter.  The reception at hotel didn't seem interested even when I told them all my money had been stolen.

An alright stay.

I, my wife, my brother, and my sister stayed at this hotel for four days. A nice hotel located on a high ground overlooking the ocean. The rooms are comfortable and are kept clean and tidy. The patios in front of the rooms gives more enjoyment to relax and watch the white sand coast and the ocean. The staff are all nice and helpful.

KILIMANI MEAS HIGH GROUND AND IT WAS SO

We booked this hotel for 1 night and it was not even close to what one should expect based on the photos displayed at booking . Com. The restaurant and bar areas were tragic and neglected. The lady in the reception at 19:00 that we arrived the most rude person in the entire zanzibar (hard to accomplish this).

The internet was not working anywhere and although the receptionist agreed there was a problem, did not assist us further. Overall, the worst hotel from the 5 that we tried during our stay in zanzibar.

The only reason we chose it was the fact it is near the airport, for our morning flight.

Ps: don’t book in advance, the hotel is empty and they make last minute offers with a significantly lower rate (compared to the 90$ i paid 4 months in advance).

Disappointing experience

Very good breakfast. Nice view from the room, but the beach... far away from paradise. They cooked only 4 meal for lunch and dinner, every day the same. Grilled chicken, chicken sandwich, grilled fish and 🥳🥳 fish sandwich... 
the room was clean, but just at first sight. In the mosquito net were a big holes, in the bathroom many spiders...and gekons behind hangers. When we went out from the room (at night), because of the small hotel party 5m away from our room, we met a biggest rat😓. At last.... we had a huge hole in our room, they doest change it, because they miss our room👍🏻

Horrible

Ocean Group of Hotels in Zanzibar operates five hotels all located at the beach. During my stay in Zanzibar, I stated at Zanzibar Ocean View Hotel which besides being near Zanzibar's tourist attractions like stone Town, old slave market and Sultan's palace is near markets and the airport.

The rooms are spacious with ac and hot water. The staff are friendly and welcoming.

My room was on the first row facing the ocean and at night you can hear the waves lapping the shoreline.

From the hotel our friendly guide and cab driver, Ali Kombo would pick us and drives us all the way to Nungwi and Jozani forest.

Jozani forest has the red Columbus monkey, these endengered species are only found in Zanzibar. You will also see the mangrove forest. 

Holiday

Very friendly staff and very supportive owner Jacob. The chief made a great food every day. We also enjoyed the chistmas dinner, barman Davis always created a great and delicious coctails for us so the time here was relaxing and I charged my energy back.

Do not stay here

Very run down seemed to be the only people there. VERY depressing hotel. Out of there rooms in two showers were not working!!! On top of it the staff was very very unfriendly when we complained. I can not recommend it at all.
