I recommend Carno without reservation! We travel with 3 young boys for 2 nights. Upon arrival, Miss Wong the host showed her great hospitality. She was polite and helpful in a suitable way (i.e. not annoying at all). She recommended places for us and her husband offered to drive us downtown for dinner. Her other two children, in their teenage, are also very polite. The old brother offered computer games with my three boys in the living room. Her girl also help out a lot! It was so homely and heartwarming! Their beautiful dog "xiaohu" was as calm and happy as the family. We (both families) played fireworks at their front yard at night. Miss Wong was very friendly to talk to and there were so many to talk about. re. family, lives in her town, parenting and all that. She said she is more keen to make friends than to host a hostel. The house is newly furnished and nicely decorated. We had the top floor which is slightly hot in summer, view from bath tub was great! Location is nicely situated in the middle of Yilan geographically yet it is away from the busy night market, it was tranquil and nice. My family will certainly miss them.
