We had a great stay at Phoenix Walkway Homestay. The lovely owner spoke very little English, however she used a translator on her phone and actions to communicate with us. She tried really hard to help us and we appreciated it a lot. The room we got here was AMAZING! It was so big and spacious with two king size beds and the whole place was immaculate. We used her bicycles to get into town and we had great fun exploring the area especially due to the well planned cycle routes around the town. She also dropped us off at the bus station so we could get a bus to go to Taitung International Hot Air Balloon Festival which was incredible! We went to Green Island and then came back to stay at Phoenix Walkway Homestay, because of a typhoon the island was evacuated and people were advised to stay inside. The owner was so kind, leaving us huge pot noodles and bread outside our room and offering to drive us into town to get our meals. Breakfast was also included in the fee which was definitely worthwhile; there was so much!! I would definitely advise other people to stay here. Taitung is a great town and the owner is lovely, helping us get our train tickets to our next destination! What a brilliant stay.
