Orange Hotel is a mid-tier small establishment--so don't expect a 5-star hotel.  But it does everything well, at a very reasonable.  You get a clean, good-size room, a comfortable bed, nice service, and little extras such as coffee and fruits all day.  The only improvements I'd like to see is more storage space (which can be solved by replacing existing furniture pieces with those with drawers) and heater (it's AC only).  Highly recommended!

Excellent stay!

Great location less than a minute's walk from Taipei Main Train Station Exit Z10. We opted for the Orange Suite which was spacious with a sitting area and included a small refrigerator. The staff were friendly and very helpful. There is a Family Mart and a 7-11 steps from the front door for all your snacking needs. We used our breakfast vouchers at Caffé Bene which was adequate as a quick meal to start the day. Orange Hotel - Kaifong is a good budget option in the Zhongzheng District.

Convenient Budget Option

I stayed here for few nights with a friend and I like the location of the hotel. It's not far from Ximending and Taipei Main station area. We can walk to Ximending market easily. There are water refill machine in the lobby area and some soda in the fridge which are available for free. The room has no view but it's ok for us because most of the time we were outside. The staff are friendly.

Love the place

Room was clean and nice. Most of the staff spoke some English was nice. 

There is no fan though in the washroom which I am not sure if it is a Taiwanese thing or not. 

Best part was the included breakfast, there were 4 places to choose from. 

Location is good and it was easy to find.

Great Location and Friendly Staff

There's free beverages and fruits in the lobby area and there's a convenience store just beside it. It's about 10 - 15mins from Taipei Main Station and near to a few cafes. 

(Do note that you will need to carry your luggage up/down 2 flight of stairs if you are going there via train. There's no lift or escalator at the exit.)

We are quite disappointed with their cleaning service. We requested for cleaning service before we head out, when we return, rubbish was not cleared and the bed was not set up the same. The mattress is not stable and it's uncomfortable.

It's still okay

Hotel is near to Taipei main station. A short walk of 10 minutes from the airport subway Taipei  terminal. Plentiful of amenities and food around the hotel. Reception is located on the second floor. Tea & coffee is complementary at reception. Bedding is comfortable. If you request more clothes hangar or pillows, could do so at reception. 

Nice and charming

Wonderful hotel with Breakfast coupons for 3 different restaurants made it nice to grab a breakfast sandwich and coffee!  Close to the train station and street markets.  Always has water in your room and fresh fruit, coffee, juices, soda, & tea at the reception area - free!  Reception staff call you a taxi when needed and they have umbrellas for you... all speak English very well!  Highly recommend it!

Great Location Friendly Staff CLEAN

It's a 3 star hotel: location is awesome, walking distance to station and loads of famous eateries, Ximending and other attractions just a stone's throw away or a couple of stops on the MRT.

Room itself: even in the suite room which is the biggest / most expensive, it was average. Room size is huge but the furniture settings aren't the best and getting a bit dated already. We would have liked an extra one or two pillows. Bathroom was fine but not the best workmanship. Liked that it was individual room controlled AC. Carpet may not have been the cleanest but there are room slippers.

Nice little reception area with tea / coffee, free fruit and water dispenser. Also ample room for luggage storage. Hotel entrance requires card key to open so it is quite safe.

Overall, fine to stay but certainly for a 5 star hotel.

Good hotel but not excellent

Located strategically within walking distance to Taipei Main Station ( entrance Z10) and Ximending. The room is in comfortable size ( for 2 ppl + 2 big luggage) and is clean. The only thing that can be further improve is the lighting of the room. Unlike the brightly lit room as depicted in their webite, the room is quite dark and we felt that it is not bright enough especially without the natural sunlight in the evening. Despite that we do have a good quality sleep during our stay .

Good Sleep at a convenient location

A bit small but perfect for our needs. We only went there to sleep. It was centrally located and quite convenient. Our view was of the back alley but it gave nice realistic interpretation of a real city. Sometimes a perfect view is not always beautiful. The room was clean and well stocked. The front office offered fresh fruit, snacks, coffee, and refreshing non-alcoholic drinks. The staff was friendly and eager to test their English language skills.
