One Plus One Hotel

Extremely convenient and within walking distance to the local eateries and MTR. The owner is particularly caring and warm. Happy to assist and provide valuable travelling and tourist information.

The owner was very accommodating & kind. He really tried to help us in getting tours though we already had he still recommend nice places. Highly recommended! The room is big & 2 double beds. We never expected that it was that big.

Our stay was really great considering the amount we paid. The hotel is like walking distance to Ximending. And 10-15min walk to Taipei Main Station. It is very accessible.The room is big for the 3 of us, I expected it to be smaller. Hehe. Plus, there’s free coffee, tea and some snacks in the counter. Though it is not as fancy as other hotels, but for the price, it’s worth it. Would stay here again if I ever come back to Taipei.:)

As it is the first time for some of my friends, the reception gave us an overview navigation of Taipei. In the 2nd picture posted by the hotel(that's their lobby), we got a relatively spacious room for 4 on the left of lobby. It is nothing like in the picture! Plenty of room to store belongings for this price. Perhaps the picture depicts some other parts of the hotel. We thought the aircon wasn't operating properly, but the reception guy fixed it for us promptly. Walking distance to the main district of ximending, however it is some distance away from the metro stations(inbetween of 2). Do not be alarmed if you are back late observing someone sleeping by the counter, as they are looking out for security!

Spacious room for 4

I've stayed here numerous times during my time here in Taiwan.  Started by booking through an online app, then got their LINE app ID and went direct.
Like many hotels in Taipei, they occupy one floor of a building that houses other hotels.  The room they usually booked me in was 2 blocks away in another building, and appeared to be a studio apartment that they rent for use as an extra hotel room.
It was spacious, clean, two big beds and a mini-fridge.  
All that for $1,400 NT - which is about $45 USD.  
The location is decent, a few blocks from the main area of Ximending, and easy access to the MRT.

Excellent low-cost hotel

The One plus One hotel is located just a minute away the busy shopping area of Ximen. The area has a lot of authentic taiwanese food in the immediate area and the hotel is located right next to a 7-Eleven. The hotel is a good value for the price, the room is a decent size and the bed is pretty good. The interior decorating I found to be charming, with it's choice of wallpapers. And the TV actually had the best reception of the 6 different hotels I stayed in in Taiwan, for those who care about that. The staff is helpful and friendly and speaks english well.With only a 5 minute walk to the nearest MRT/subway, the location is great, especially considering that Ximen is a sentral hub of Taipei.I highly recommend this hotel for those who are looking for a central spot to sleep in while experiencing Taipei.

They have a main property and another apartment type about 300 metres further up. Sadly both properties are about 500 to 600 metres from the mrt station Ximen, which is one stop from Taipeh Main Station for the mrt (metro), TRA (Taiwan Railway Administration) lines and the HSR (High Speed Rails) plus bus terminal and taxi stop. We stayed at both properties for one day each and they are clean and functionable but the apartment has the benefit of a electric hob for cooking if you wish, and both properties have a fridge. The staff are friendly helpful and we have no complaints. The second night we stayed there was during the typhoon.

Hotel OnePlusOne review

Is a pleasant stay but not at the hotel itself, because we been change to an apartment few street away. The apartment just 2 streets away from Ximending walking street. Everyday will have cleaner come to clean the room and change towel and amenities exactly like u stay at hotel. Have fridge, tv, hair dryer and kettle. Recommended to all traveller.

Beautiful place to stay. Central location to get to everywhere, good shopping place and the MRT is just 5 minutes walking from the hotel. Got a free upgrade to a much newer room across the location. Chung was very helpful and guiding to go and see places around Taipei. Overall very satisfied, the room was big and more the a sufficient place.

Fantastic location

After booking, I saw some people gave low scores for this hotel, it made me a bit worried about my booking, but I decided to take my chances. And I am glad I did. I stayed 8 nights in this hotel. The personal was very kind and helpful. Every evening when I came back everything was cleaned and renewed (toothbrush and paste, soaps, and towels). The room itself was very pleasant to stay, it was as on the pictures, a big round bed. A window with curtains, several lights, a place to sit and write. There were also other facilities but I didn’t use those (TV, ventilator and hairdryer). There is a bath and shower and enough mirrors. The hotel is close to Ximending, an area to hangout in the evening / night. Also quite close to Ximen station

Very pleasant stay

(日本語は英語の後に書いてまーす)Stayed for my private trip. 2 nights. Accompanied no one. I tried to lower the hotel price as much as possible. But I don't want to stay at back packer style accommodations, with other room mates. This hotel was generally saying, good, when you take its fees into account. Rooms are very old, but items are equipped. They are generally good. towels are clean, bed was so so(hard, though acceptable for me), glass cups are clearly cleaned, hair drier is new. Silent and almost no noise bothered me, partly because of other gentle guests.Shower and bath tub are old but OK. Water, hot water was sufficient. Shampoo, tooth brushes etc are equipped for 2 guests, so plenty for me. Staffs are kind, guy with glasses speaks english to a necessary degree. He is really kind and he made me rate this hotel higher. Other staffs also commands basic English. Locations are 10- 15minutes walk from MRT Xi-men西門 station, therefore good. But thats ah...enough walk to got me a hell of sweat in August. Anyway Xi-men are very busy and exciting place like Shibuya, Tokyo. Safe place as I see. So lot of shops to see around when going to/from subway station if you take various routes. Anyway I recommend you this hotel. 一人の男性旅なら全然あり。ラブホ改装した部屋でしたw　古い部屋なんだけど、アメニティ類は清潔感があり、そこんところへの高い意識が垣間見えた。女性一緒なら、旅慣れた相手でない限りだめ。スタッフめっちゃ親切。メガネかけた男性に聞いてみると台北のことなんでも教えてくれる。おじいちゃんは英語不可だけど、他のスタッフ呼んでくれる。場所は西門街近い。駅から１０分。

The one plus one itself was a third floor, darkish looking place. The very friendly hotel manager took us for a walk when our family checked in for a 4 night stay. We had some idea of what he was up to because we read a review of a traveller who called this an upgrade earlier. The manager could not explain himself since he did not speak any English. We were taken a couple of blocks from the one plus one to the central Ximen pedestrian area. Large apartment building and then on to the 6th floor. The hallway was looking shabby but once the 2 or 3 doors in the apartment were unlocked we were pleasantly surprised. Beds were hard though and the washing machine that looked so promising was not meant to be used at all. We had to remind the friendly manager that since the washing machine was not working the room needed to be serviced but this was done every day. In brief: we do not know what the one plus one hotel itself is like but if you are lucky enough to be placed in the apartment section you will have a nice stay in Taipei.
