Booked two rooms good for 4 pax each in our recent trip to Taipei. This hotel offers good value and accessibility. Their lobby is small and strangely separated from the room access but the staff were very helpful especially the lady whose name I forgot.

The hotel offers day tours via private car or van with very reasonable rates. Our rooms were quite spacious and the bath room is large. Cable tv is available but like most hotels in Taipei, channels offer limited english language option. Wi-fi is available in the rooms but there were times connecting is a chore. Rooms were tidy and well cleaned throughout our stay.

Unfortunately, this hotel does not offer breakfast but there were plenty of neighborhood restaurants just a few streets away. The Taiwan buffet resto is a must try! If inn is very accessible and just a few kilometers away from Main attraction of Taiwan. MRT station is just a 15min or 1 km walk. 

Our stay is generally a pleasant experience and I recommend this hotel for groups of 4 pax as the rooms were spacious and the staff very hospitable.

Small hotel but ideal for groups of 4

Excellent customer service. I left a shirt in the room and they contacted us with a picture of it and a way for me to retrieve it. The location is close to a night market. Good deal for the price.

Great staff and service. Internet can be tricky...

The staff is very nice and always be so helpful and ready to help. The lady who did the check-in for me introduced me the nice dessert store nearby, the gentleman who I met in the second day told me where to find the egg roll (蛋餅). Oh and the housekeeping lady and the front desk gentleman helped find the post office for me early in the morning as well!They help upgraded my room. It was supposed to be a room without window and only an double bed. But they upgraded me to a larger room with two double beds (only one with the bedding) and with the windows. The room is tidy and clear. The toliet is clear which is super important. It's next to the road but I couldn't hear the car once I locked the windows (they have windows in two layers) and turned on the air conditioner.The hotel is located in a old district of Datong. I picked that on purpose. It's a quiet community with stories. Unlike the hustle and bustle of Taipei main station or Ximen area, Datong is a district with historical buildings and with a very local community. The hotel is around 8 minutes walk away from the Daqiaotou station and still within the core part of the city.I'll definitely stay again in this hotel. I hope this comment in English will help foreign tourists to pick this hotel. I love Daitong district, I love the staff in this hotel, I love the room, I love the food that the staff recommended. This makes my stay in Taipei amazing.For the staff, thank you for your assistance.謝謝！

Friendly staff, very nice area and room

Stayed here for 3 nights.Night 1 - they put me in a small (closet-sized) room with no "city view" - even though I had booked a room that was supposed to have one.  The window looked at a blank wall a few inches away!Night 2 - they took me to a 'family room'.  A room partitioned into 2, with 2 beds.  As a solo traveler - didn't want that.  They gave me a SLIGHTLY larger room - a view onto a main noisy street.Day 2 - came back at 5pm after being out all day.  Room still had not been cleaned. No breakfast options.Location - MRT is a brisk 15m walk away.  A predominantly Taiwanese hood (nothing wrong with that, just saying).  No western-styled places to eat.  No coffee or breakfast places nearby.One night market is 10m walk away.  A smallish (but nice) temple is 10m walk away.Be warned - no toilet paper in the bathrooms.  Just a bidet.  And a box of tissues - if you are so inclined.Front desk is friendly - speak English well,  And want to help.  But just being obsequiously polite is not what I want.

Take your money somewhere else!

The room was clean and comfortable.  The staff was very helpful and provided information in English for us.  They also went out of their way to arrange 2 early morning taxis for us (5 people and a ton of luggage to get to the airport).

Great stay in a small hotel. Aimed at the crowd that won't stay in a hostel but doesn't require the Waldorf. We wanted a safe and clean place to store our belongings while we explored the city that was quiet and dark when we wanted to rest at night. This hotel checked all those blocks. We received an upgrade before we could unpack from a very small business traveler's functional room to a two bed room. The staff was friendly and helpful with baggage, directions and recommendations. Well located in the city and within walking distance to one of the smaller night markets, a full blown grocery store (bring your own grocery bag or pay for one!) and the subway/metro.  I'd stay there again and would certainly recommend it to friends.

Small, clean botique hotel

As my flight was scheduled to arrive very late at night, I was looking for a place to sleep, reasonably priced in an area I know.  After searching a while, I found this hotel, locationwise OK for me, as the room rate was moderate I did not expect much.However, I was positively surprised here.  The building is old but the staffs are welcoming, nice and caring, the room was nicely renovated so that I felt more than comfortable.  WiFi was OK f not strong enough for those who wish to enjoy video.It is definately added to my choice of accompdation in Taipei after staying in different hotels in Taipei in the past 6 years!

予約して泊まって思った以上の宿に満足

Very helpful and friendly staffs, the receptionist explained the surrounded sightseeing hot spots and place for breakfast, lunch and dinner once we check in at the counter. One of the receptionist help us to clear the toilet blockage at midnight as we was not aware that the tissue paper cannot throw into Taiwan toilet and have to throw into a dedicated dust bin because the toilet pipe is small. The receptionist also help us to call a Taxi to Airport when they know we haven't arrange transport to Airport. I booked 6 nights stay at this hotel, a very happy & satisfied vacation during my stay.
