It was difficult to find if you didn’t have the internet access. Asking was difficult as most Taiwanese didn’t understand English. The best way to get to the hotel is to take a cab from the Confucius Temple Station of the shuttle HSR bus. Despite the difficulties finding it and the rundown appearance, the hotel was quite all right. Everything worked fine in my room except for the slightly hard mattress. The staff were nice to answer my questions even though they spoke no English except for one albeit smatteringly.

Surprisingly Good 

The price is indeed very cheap. We got a private room with a private bathroom for 1500 for two nights, two people. The hotel itself is pretty old, shabby, the staff were okay, they don't speak English. The facilities (fridge, the broadcast, and the hair dryer) were broken, but they gave us another hair dryer. Breakfast not included. 

An okay, old hotel with very cheap price

Stayed here 1 night at the end of March. The room is basic, clean and the location is good. Very close to a local market where you can have Tainan-style breakfast, not far to Hua-Yuan night market and other tourist places. Its better to rant a bike at Tainan train station that you can go around in Tainan easily. Tainan is a nice place, worthy to visit!

Budget option in Tainan

When coming to Tainan, this was the cheapest hotel we could find online, so our expectations were appropriately low. Still we weren't prepared for the more "love hotel" aspects, with the round bed with purple stripper poles, and free condom on the nightstand. The room was dark, the bed was rock hard (even taking into account that most Asian hotels have hard beds, this was SOLID). When standing in the tub/shower, my hair hit the ceiling (I'm 6'1") and the hand held "shower head" could only reach up to chest level. 

But like I said, we wanted to save money and so despite all that we stayed three days. The front desk couldn't speak any English, but we didn't have any problems. We never saw any other guests. Ever. The AC was great, and the wifi was good in the room. I'd never really recommend this hotel to anyone, but if you are really watching your budget, it might be ok. 

Hint: Book online. We hoped by walking in we could negotiate a better price, but with the language barrier we ended up spending a little more.

You get what you pay for

The hotel changed its name and most taxi driver only known  by its the old name-Love Hotel. It is exactly what the name suggest. The hotel is visible enough and near to a wet market. On arrival my family got a shock on how cramp the room is, it is dark and old and the bathroom is horrible. There was no hot water when we arrived at around 10pm. We were glad we only stayed one night.
No where near any good eating place as Tainan is famous for.
