Jiufen Ore Inn

Everyone states this tip: “Day Trip to Jiufen is enough.” I choose otherwise, we decided that we needed to get out of city life of Taipei and see a different light to this small town, Jiufen. Booked a room with sea view, from an OTA after reading and browsing through all the available hotels and inns that were available, we knew pictures sometimes are deceiving in most small Inns, but not this place. Photos looks exactly the same as what I took! Check in was simple, because we left Taipei city early, so we arrived Jiufen way before check in time, they do allow bag drop, and you can always carry remaining bags while you tour the rest of Jiufen, Shifen and KeeLung. We decided to start with Daytime Jiufen while waiting for our room. Shortly upon getting the keys we were ushered to the room, providing some orientation for us. Arrived at our room, although small, but decor and layout didn’t take up the space that’s it’s has. A proper Queen size bed, little arm chair, cleverly built in bedside “tables tops”. An all cement look and feel in the bedroom with mural arts about the Mounts of Jiufen. A Couple of windows that does look out with a view. Bathroom was small but functional, it was impressive how that design and layout the room so well! All else was wonderful Including staff , always helping us to navigate around Jiufen and what to do. Our one-night stay, also allowed us to see the night skyline of Jiufen and also my partners first experience of Sunrise ! Oh and it comes with simple Taiwanese breakfast in the main building across, its comes with a seaview as well! We truly enjoy the stay and the hospitality provided! Take note: Room and hotel layout is not so wheelchair friendly.
