Orange Pig Inn

One of the reasons we stayed here is the big window room. You can get perfect view of the sea. It's so beautiful. 

Their beds were comfortable. Cleanliness was okay.

Simple breakfast is provided, bread with water.

The location of the hotel is perfect, right in the centre of Jiufen. Very convenient.

Though the price was slightly expensive, but overall we enjoyed our stay very much.

We travel from Taipei by bus 1062 from Zhongxiao Fuxing MRT station (exit 1) to go to Jiufen.  About less than an hour later, we arrived at Jiufen. Walking to the Orange Pig Inn was a little bumpy,  rolling our suitcases on pebbled concrete path.  It was quite a long walk because the old street was also filled with people.  Having arrived the location, dial the phone number at the front door, and wait a while, someone will take you in.

The quadruple room was spacious with a big window overlooking the bay.  It was all worth it.  Everything was in good working condition, with many power outlets located by the bed and seats by the window.  It would have been best if the bath were in the room, but it was designed to be downstairs.

At night we could hear chattering from the room downstairs, but it was ok.

Breakfast was a simple egg mayo sandwich, milk.  Instant coffee and tea was ok.
We ate our breakfast looking out the window.  We enjoyed it.

Simple BnB. I book via agoda and followed the special instructions to go to shop 135 to check in. If not you will need to call the owner when you reach the door of orange pig. 

Orange pig is a property with only 3 rooms. We stayed at the room for 2 person which is on level 1 from the entrance. There is a room for 6 in the lower lever/basement and a room for 4 on level 2. As there was nobody staying when we check in, i manage to check out all the rooms. All rooms are true to picture on agoda and all have a great view. 

I like the breakfast prepared. Was simple but tasty :)

But will likely try other BnB next time I visit

Wonderful stay @ Orange Pig

Simple and comfortable stay, and a spectacular view of Jiufen

I have mixed feelings of this place. I felt OK overall, but seriously this Inn has the potential to be so much better. The positives: good value, awesome views, strategic, chilled out. Negatives: The primary negative is that there is no proper reception / lobby. After a tiring trip from Taipei to Ruifang to Jiufen, I then had to hunt down / wait for the owner to turn up and unlock the door to the Inn. The irritation from this experience sort of stayed with me even though I found positives in the Inn. Also, the breakfast was "meh". Seriously - don't pay for breakfast. Just go out and enjoy the food outside. Lastly, the rooms are starting to look tired and creaky. These have to be sorted. If these negatives are attended to, I would not hesitate to return to this Inn.

It was OK, but has potential to be excellent

I went last & stayed one night here early January 2018. The view from the room is nice but the hygiene need to be improved. Next day, my friend and I got bitten by the bed bugs maybe due to high humid? My hands and legs has the marks until today (2 weeks after)
