Traveled with my sister to Hualien for 5 days. Words itself actually cannot describe how we love this guest house and the couple who owns and runs this guest house. The couple, Mr Lee and Ms Zhao are the most hospitable hosts I have ever met! They made us very hearty and filing breakfast everyday. They sometimes joined us for breakfast during which they shared their personal life and thoughts with us. They are also attentive and cooked the meals for us in the way that perfectly matched our preference. The couple also owns another villa farther away from the town center called Villa of Permaculture. They are very kind that they drove us to visit that villa and their self owned farm nearby and made us nice cups of coffee. They grow their own fruits, veggie and fishes at their farm which are then used for serving the guests. I can feel their enthusiastism in cultivating an environmental friendly atmosphere to the guests. All the time we spent at the guest house and all the conversations we had with the couple are very memorable and definitely added loads of color to our trip. If you are looking for a homely place and a truly rustic experience in Hualien, this place will not disappoint you. I must visit this friendliest couple and stay at the guest house/villa again !
