The structure was not bad, but food and service not at all. I was there on some business trips in the 80ties. I remember the personnel was not very polite. At that time Cham Palace was considered the best hotel in Damascus.

Not a five stars standard

Super fun activity! Everything fits well together. Top guidance from the experienced guide Ibrahim who guided it full of enthusiasm.  It's an incredible experience and a chance to explore other parts of Morocco.

In that time hotel was nice , clean and luxury.
price and service was good.
Hotel is near cinemacity and some traditional food and shopping stores.

I love the Chinese restaurant!

We were given rooms just adjoining the lifts which were not only noisy, but kept running throughout the night. When requested for a change of rooms, the staff flatly refused to accommodate and lied to us to say that there were no rooms. When after one night we told them that we would check out, suddenly two rooms appeared from nowhere. Rooms have no air conditioning and windows can not be opened - it was nearly 27-28 degrees inside. On request, the came and opened the windows and then we could get some breeze. But breakfast was bread, cheese, boiled eggs and butter/jam - every single day. It would have been good if the bread and croissant were fresh. Staff have been well trained not to smile.

Bring your earplugs, fan and breakfast if you stay in the hotel

View is great from revolving restaurant and food is good. Besides widely perceived bad situation of Syria, environment looked amazing and lively. Hotel can be termed as old is gold. If you want to have great view of Damascus in one or two hours and enjoy delicious food, this is the place. Bonus, food is comparatively cheap as compared to many other countries of the region especially Lebanon.

It's a few years since I stayed in the Cham Palace. Since then it has changed completely, despite all the problems in Syria. 
The bedroom was perfect. The staff were simply wonderful. The food was excellent. The laundry service was the best I've ever seen. The decor is beautiful. 
I look forward to being back.

Wonderful Cham

The room was good with a cultural mosaic feel and an amazing view. Location is great but the staff are not as professional as I hoped and Internet was a hassle to get connected as it kept cutting me off and had to purchase a few cards every time. The breakfast to the room needs better options and you need to tell them how you like your eggs, otherwise you won't eat it 😊
