My two friends and I had an almost perfect week long stay at Chesa Valese in Zermatt. It is a small hotel with wonderful personal service at an affordable price. We had a triple room that was perfect. My friends are more "nightowls" where I am an early riser/sleeper. I had a nice little alcove with a sliding door where I could have some quiet time while they were comfortable in the main room. But the most important factor at this hotel was the service. The people who we encountered at reception every day knew us, answered our endless (!) questions, recommended nice restaurants, helped schedule our midweek massages, even lent us their crampons for an icy hike! The breakfast was also perfect and again the people remembered what coffee we liked our how our eggs were cooked. Thank you again to Daniela, Michael, Melanie and Moon for such great personal service and friendliness.
