Lovely rooms with great whimsical decorations - lots of deer! Very friendly service from the owners, nice breakfast with local ingredients and right next to the bus stop. Seelisberg is a lovely destination with amazing views. Perfect trip!

All the Swiss beauty in a hotel

Often single rooms are not as well equipped as others: be it the view, the location in the building or the size & furnishings. Here it is the opposite. The operators and the service are very friendly and helpful. All in all tip-top, I would love to come back here. Thank you for the great stay.

Top of the line

Our family arrived very late in the evening.  The owners stayed up and welcomed us like old friends visiting.  They called the local restaurant to ensure that we would be served dinner.  The hotel felt more like a bed and breakfast.  After a long day of hiking, the shower had the perfect pressure to relax and the comfortable bed lulled us to sleep instantly.  This was a delightful experience.

Like Visiting a Friend

Hotel Tell was the least expensive option for us in Interlaken traveling with 4 people. The woman at the front desk checking us in was a little too “sale-y” trying to sell us on using her/the hotel to book any tours... but she was friendly. Our room was very clean, and had everything we needed. The rooms themselves are very noisy, you can hear whenever people walk above you, and one night we even had the pleasure of hearing someone snore very loudly alllllllll night long. If you are a light sleeper I probably wouldn’t recommend this hotel. The location is great, walking distance to anything you might was to see or do in Interlaken, and our room did have a nice view of the mountains which was appreciated. Overall Hotel Tell is a fine spot for a family needing the cheapest place in the city... but it is not by far one of our favorite hotels to have stayed in. They do provide a hair dryer and both rooms had additional mirrors to help you get ready if the bathroom was occupied. Another note, they ask for a $150 security deposit, which seemed a bit high... it was returned 3 days after we checked out. 

Good Location

We went by the Hotel Tell spontaneously and without booking and got another room. The staff and the owners were totally warm, friendly and always looking out for us. The hotel is old but very beautifully renovated. It's totally cozy and homey. Everything was clean and well maintained! And the food was super delicious and large portions! We are looking forward to our next stay here.

Kind and Homey

The hotel staff are very friendly and helpful, they explain everything about the sights of the city. The hotel is well located, close to the two train stations and the city center. On the ground floor there is a pub that is considered one of the best in the city. The street of the hotel is very quiet and quiet.

It's a great option in Interlaken.

Nice rustic Swiss Hotel with restaurant. Was the most expensive night spent on our trip through Bavaria, Austria, Italy, Switzerland and return to Germany. Also most expensive lunch. But the fabulous view made up for it.  

Nice but expensive.

I'll start with the positives.. 
The room layout was good about 7/10. The rooms were well equipped with a fan, large windows, large mirrors and had a log cabin feel. The beds were very comfortable. The TV is a decent size. The hotel location is its selling point. The bus stops directly outside the hotel. The younger staff members are very welcoming and helpful. Peter is very friendly and ran the extremely busy pub smoothly by himself and was always smiling. The pub has a fantastic atmosphere.  
Now for the negatives...
When we arrived the room was ready however the bathroom had not been cleaned properly - the floor was still wet from the previous guest shower and it had hair in it. When we bought it to the attention of a senior member of staff she was unimpressed and seemed rather put out. The room has a very bad smell...a mixture of wood and stale beer - maybe because its over a pub but its still very unpleasant. There was a lot of noise, other guests upstairs could be heard very clearly. No bar of soap in rooms. You do get a 10% discount for staying there but food wasn't great at all. Breakfast was pretty poor - only 2 cereals and 1 pastry. 
Overall the stay here wasn't great. The location is its main selling point. Wouldn't stay here again and wouldn't really recommend it.

Best Thing Is The Location

This hotel is located on the top of the hill, with an unforgettable view of the lake of the four corners. The hotel is clean, the owners are very kind people, you can chat with them in English if you don't know German. Beautiful family room on the top floor of the hotel with ideal and special part for children with machine-shaped beds.
