This hotel has a wonderful location with views across one arm of the lake over the opposite mountains. It is in a village well outside Lugano but it is served by the hourly Postbus (with some on the 1/2hr as well at work times. For tourists the Ticino card provided free access to all the local bus and train service. The Hotel rooms have a small kitchenette which allows you to prepare your own food is you chose to. Breakfasts are standard continental buffet style well served and managed by the breakfast lady. The attached, but independent, restaurant serves some great Pinza. These are not to be confused with pizzas as these are lighter, cooked at lower temperature using a dough that has been fermented for 72hrs. We had them as takeaways for a couple of nights where we took them up to the roof terrace to enjoy. The restaurant is lively so there is always chatter from the diners, audible from the room if you have a lake view, but not intrusive!
