Stayed here as we wanted budget accommodation and hotels were so expensive.  We had a very pleasant surprise. It was very welcoming.  The bedroom, communal kitchen and shared bathrooms were all very clean and well kept.
Nice mixture of other guests old and young.
Lovely location by the lake and an easy bus ride into town

Great location

There is no provision if the weather gets too hot. It was very warm inside the room. There needs to be arrangement for Air Con or atleast a fan since the weather is getting hot in Europe. Due to peak season the price was too expensive too.
Location is very good, staff was welcoming but their working hours are too limited. Afternoon between 2-5 pm there will be no staff.

Decent for solo traveller and easy access form SBB.

For people looking for a budget accommodation while visiting Lucerne, this is a great choice. We were couple with a teenage son.  Booked a three bed room with shared bathroom. Room was quite large with attached balcony. Was impressed with the clean toilets - separate shower and toilet rooms. Clean and well maintained.
Location : only issue is the 15 minutes walk to the railway station. But you can walk just 5 minutes to the bus station ( at the back side) and take bus to Luzerne railway station ( hardly 5 minutes).
Kitchen : Well equipped and fun to cook. Also  plenty of sitting arrangements with tables to enjoy meals. Interesting decoration and display throughout the ground floor.
Reception: Happy and smiling face greeted us on arrival. Also for any query - bus station direction and kitchen help - was always answered with a smile. Cant imagine why some reviewers mentioned differently - We had nice response every time.
Bed sheets and linen : You will be given clean and folded sheets on arrival. You have to make your bed with them - remember this is a budget hostel and hence have to respect the rules here.
Overall great experience since I was only looking for a clean bed and a clean toilet. Whole day we were out visiting switzerland.
Will definitely come again. Highly recommended.   

Great choice for Budget travelers

We stayed one night, the reception was easy and pleasant. Hostel perfectly clean and lit on top. Quiet and well located. Very good quality/price/location ratio. We highly recommend and will return without hesitation

Very good experience

Shared room, you need to rent towels, the lighting of the room is very bad too. Beautiful view from the window, gentle staff Be careful when checking in because it only opens at 5pm and you can't even leave your luggage before that. The room is warm for the summer days. Very good location, close to the lake, next to the park, very nice clean bathrooms. Bus stop is not too close, as it is on the avenue, carrying luggage is a little far away. In 15 minutes walking you reach the central part and the train station.

Pleasant

Very clean hostel with modern, updated bathrooms. Booked a private room for 2 nights. Although it was a shared bathroom, it felt like we had one to ourselves. Lounge space is broken up so you don’t get that feel I love with hostels where you all sit around and chat but that was ok. Comfortable beds with nice balcony and clean. Staff was very helpful.

Good Value

Lovely clean hostel with helpful staff in a good location near beach and railway station. We are a family of four with two children who are 15 and 12, so shared a four bed dorm, which was great. We were travelling round Switzerland by train so was great being close to railway station and main attractions. Did not feel that busy and had two kitchens so loads of room to cook. Could hire stand up paddle boards (SUP) very cheaply to use at nearby beach next to lake.

It's a beautiful city, it's all true, but dear Lucanian politician, do something about these extreme car posers at the Hotel Schweizerhof. It's awkward!!! Saturday, May 22, 2021 at 4:30. Everyone keeps their ears shut while walking. Really uncomfortable.

Nice city.

Wow, the rooms were quite a delight for a hostel! Spacious, with a balcony, a ledge and a table so that I could spread out a bit if I wanted to. There were sinks outside but only one bathroom per floor. The lounge and kitchen were spacious and well stocked. The staff were super awesome, kind and accommodating. It is a good 15 min walk into town to see the sights, but since I caught a spell of good weather and I love walking, I ain't complaining...yes, even with my backpack on arrival and departure days :)

Spacious and good value for money

A wonderful place to stay. Maybe a little away and some distance to walk but worth. Very warm staff and thoroughly professional.Very  clean linen. Bath and toilet sparklingly clean. Facilities in the kitchen are adequate. But the timings are a little inconvenient.
