We've read the review of luckytraveller27 and to be honest, that's not the truth. First of all it is lake Brienz you're looking on. The view is amazing, we got a spacious room and I was told that they have improved the breakfast and that's what it looked like as well. We stayed 3 nights and it was really good. The hotel staff was friendly and well-trained. The room was clean and tidy and if we asked for new towels or housekeeping we got it right away. I would stay here again.

The hotel changed its name to Lake View Hotel.  It offered panoramic lake views from guest rooms and restaurant.  There are plenty of parking spaces in front and behind the hotel building. The train station, bus stop and boat pier are very close to the hotel.  Breakfast was okay, not so much variety.  Easy access to other attractions in Interlaken. 
The hotel has no lift so you would have to carry your bag up the stairs.  You can choose to have a room on main level.  Niederried is a very quiet and small village, you have to buy your grocery from Interlaken or Brienz which is about 10-15 minutes away.

A lovely lake view

Better than we thought.

very basic hotel, far from any services we had to go to Interlakin for anything we need, not very clean ,small rooms, balcony pet door between rooms, free wifi, helpful stuff and very nice lake view from balcony you can also hear the sound of water,free parking, very simple breakfast with limited options

This is a hotel which offers good views of the Thun lake. The rooms have balconies which overlook the lake. The hotel itself is just about ok, considering that it is not cheap. The rooms are very basic. The hotel does not have a restaurant and there are not too many eating options nearby. We had to go to Interlaken to eat, which we could manage as we had a car. The hotel does offer breakfast; the spread is average. All in all, it is an ok hotel to spend a night if you are visiting the nearby areas and just need a place to crash and enjoy some beautiful lake views in the morning.

Stay here only for the lake view

Lake view is amazing. The accommodation facilities are very very average. It all balances out in the end I suppose. 
Not to far from Niederried Station with trains coming every hr to Interlakin. 
I actually preferred staying out of Interlakin town as it as very touristy.
