An outstanding hotel offering great value-for-money and higher standards than the much larger, slightly dated and much more expensive 5* hotel nearby. The hotel is very modern but with beautiful traditional features. The inclusion of a kitchenette in the room is fantastic and gives the visitor more dining options. The bathroom is of a very high quality. The bed and the bedding is also of high quality, though I found the bedsheet a bit too hot. Very kindly, the hotel staff offered to provide an alternative. That brings me to the lovely team of people who work here. The reception team was very friendly and welcoming and sympathized witty my delayed arrival. They gave me a lovely guided tour when I did eventually arrive! I should also praise the amazing housekeeping team, who cleaned my room beautifully each day, including the kitchenette. Overall, I would say this is a boutique hotel delivering a 5 * experience. It was a beautiful, outstanding surprise.
