This hotel is in the middle of Brienz right at the lake. It is walking distance from the railway station (normal trains, mountain train and ship are all there), the walk there can be done on a very nice path along the lake. We had two budget rooms. The room has a bed, bedside table, chest of drawers, closet and two chairs. It also has a sink to brush teeth etc. Our room was facing the road but there is hardly any traffic in the night - we slept well. The shared shower and toilet were outside the room, but they were clean and I never had to wait to use them. Overall it is a simple setup but we felt very comfortable. If you want more you pay A LOT more in Switzerland! Breakfast was served buffet style with a wide selection of food to choose from. I also liked the two big wood carvings of bears.
