In case you're searching for a pleasant alternative to a Hotel, your searching might end here with 'Eriksberg Townhouse Inn'. We stayed at this lovely and very comfortable B&B for two nights and were warmly welcomed by Natalia and her husband Markus who run this Hotel-like place within their own home. Every morning we were provided with an extensive breakfast and useful advices for our day-trips. Thus, we highly recommend this place not only due to its comfortable rooms and its excellent location situated close to an old harbor/ship yard but also for the lovely staff. See you again in Gothenburg!

Aww lovely lovely,  it feels like home.  Our host Natalia is bursting with energy and enthusiasm. 
Comfortable rooms,  great location,  delicious breakfast. 
Just a 10minute walk through the estuary side town of Eriksburg,  get the 2.5kr ferry to Gothenburg and walk around the city. 
Super nice place. 

I was in Eriksberg for work and I needed I place near the congress venue. This place and convenient for me, at a decent price.
Eriksberg is a very calm area in the city, don't expect much to happen here and after 8pm you won't see many people in the street during the weekend, but as I was there in work I didn't care much.
Natalia and Markus are the perfect hosts, I spent more time with her and Natalia was really great - during check in she explained me everything about the house and the neighbourhood and she gave me a big help trying to find an ATM - they only accept cash, so be aware of this.
My room was really small, but ok for one person. Comfortable bed and clean towels. WiFi was superfast. The challenging part (but I knew that when I booked here) was to share the bathroom, especially in the morning, where there are more people trying to use it.
Breakfast is well balanced and good, especially the eggs and the bread.
The neighbourhood is calm and lovely and located in a very peaceful place.
The house was very quiet and very beautiful, really lovely.

Trying to find good affordable accommodation with car parking around Gothenburg was a bit of a challenge so we were happy to find this place.

Located in Eriksberg, a former dockyard that has been turned into a lovely residential neighbourhood following the decline of the shipbuilding industry. We were able to park on the street outside the B&B for 90SEK and the local restaurants along the waterfront are only a few minutes walk away.

Getting into the city is also a breeze, you just walk down to the ferry, around ten minutes walk away, and then it’s a nice 20 minute journey into town.

Our room was really cozy and nicely presented, with a very comfortable double bed, small desk, tiny flat screen television, good free wifi, and a small cupboard for our clothes.

The shared bathroom was also clean and well presented, however, in the morning it was quite a challenge to get into it, with three rooms on the second floor, and also people from the level above, all trying to get in.
Breakfast was ok, but nothing special to be honest, and as we are late risers the pickings were sometimes quite meagre. 
 
The owner Natalia was very friendly and welcoming and keen to provide advice on what to do and see in and around Gothenburg, as well as providing good tips on local restaurants. Email and phone communication however wasn’t great, and our attempts to confirm the car space went unanswered.
 
Overall a decent enough place in a very nice part of Gothenburg.

Affordable and comfortable place in the very expensive Gothemburg

Nice B&B in a great neighbourhood

Feels like being at home...

Exellent location,  close to the ferry,  comfortable and super friendly

It is probably the worst experience we have ever had in a hotel. 
My family was attracted by an apparently cosy, fresh atmosphere, but we soon understood our mistake: 
- the first thing we heard when entering the facility was that a cat had been locked in a closet, in the hope that tourists wouldn't notice. This poor animal kept miaowing and scratching the door overnight, but was left there nonetheless.
- tired after a day of travelling we wanted to have a shower before bed time, but we learnt that the facility did not offer warm water. Not only the host did not let us know about the situation prior to our arrival, but also tried to justify the inconvenience by saying that the issue was common to the whole neighbourhood (although a friend, living close by, had perfectly working warm water).
- the breakfast was maybe the worst part of all. We could have probably just ignored the stale, frozen cinnamon buns we were offered, but the expiration date for the yoghurt was two days before our arrival, the milk was visibly rotten and the rest of the food was covered in cat's hair. Disgusting.

When politely explaining the host about the situation, she proved to be absolutely careless about all this, by just insisting on her request to head to the closest ATM and give her the money she wanted, cash.
