Hotell & Restaurang Ramudden

Stayed overnight before business in the next town over. The hotel is right on the road, and comprised of three buildings - the original inn that contains the restaurant, a new annexe on the same plot, and a semi-self catering kitchen for those who don't want to eat in the inn. There's plenty of free parking, though in winter, the paths could use a little more grit - I went skating, if not sledging. The annexe is accessed by the same keycard you use for your room, and has a small number of large, ensuite rooms. Mine was very clean, new, warm and secure, if slightly spartan, but that is hardly a bad thing, and the bathroom was excellent: a actually-working wet room (proper slanted floor) with a wide shower enclosure and plenty of hot water. My bed was perfectly comfortable, and didn't detract in any way from an excellent night's sleep. The inn does food that is somewhat better than you might expect for what appears to be the Swedish version of a roadside pub. I enjoyed a lobster bisque with croutons and a piece of fried cod floating in it, filet mignons that were a little overcooked but certainly not bad served alongside a loose rosti, and a pan-european cheeseboard that the very friendly and helpful waiter fell over himself to explain to me. Breakfast was small in surface area but not in choice - in the space of about ten square feet were hot and cold drinks of every variety, and a full european buffet spread, with nothing stale or out for too long. An excellent overnight stop, setting me up very well for my meeting the next day. I would happily stay there again in the same circumstances.
