A truly stunning spot with friendly staff and a cute little shop with lots of basic necessities as well as fresh bread in the morning.
Most of the prime spots are taken by folks with long-term arrangements but it’s only a short stroll to gorgeous swimming spots. We went in late August and the place was quiet and super relaxing. 
The cabins are wonderful with nice bathrooms, comfortable beds, nice appliances and stunning views. Boy are we glad we stopped off here!

Idyllic camping spot on the Swedish west coast

Got an space for our caravan without booking ahead. Tree beautiful sand beaches, and picked oysters at low tide! Nice shower and wc facilities, and a friendly and service minded staff. 
If you want a quiet stay fifteen minutes outside Strømstad, this is the place. Shallow waters on the beaches makes this great for the kids who cant swim. We stayed at the camp in high season, and tought the space between campers was a bit short.

Caravan trip to Strömstad

Lokholmen camping is very familyfriendly camping 15 minutes from Strømstad.
Only 15 minutes from the Norwegian boarder so from here you have many possibilities for daytrips on a rainy day...on a sunny day you just stay in the camping enjoying the beach and Nice clean seawater for swimming and sunbath.They have now made new cottages with private shower and toilet in the cabins .Makes cabinlife more relaxed....and then it became Perfect much cosier then hotels

A smiling person who welcomed us at 10 in the night despite having to come and open the gates for us was a good sign to start. Very good service. Pretty flat terrain. The amount of playing space was limited. The kiosk is decently stocked.

Definitely worth it for a night or two

We spent one night at Lökholmen camping because all hotels and b&b:s were full. We slept in their smallest cabin, intended just to sleep in. It was very fresh. The lower bed in the bunk bed was wide and we slept both in it. There was a small folded table with a bench for one person and the other one could sit on the bed. There was a fridge and a new water boiler. Nearby was a tap with drinking water. There was also a small heater. The beds were comfortable and the pillows and the blankets fresh. You bring your own sheet. 

There are two buildings with toilets and showers, one of them built 2015 and very fresh. If you want to take a shower, you buy a card for it. 

There's a kiosque selling pizza, ice cream, lemonade, tooth brushes, canned food and so on. 

The surroundings are very beautiful. The camping is situated at a peninsula. On one side there's a beach, on another beautiful rocks from were you can admire the sea. The larger cabins are on the rocks with great view.

There's also a playing ground.
