Wiborggården

I stayed one night at Wiborgsgården Bed and Breakfast in connection with attending a concert at nearby Dalhalla, at the end of a road trip round Sweden in July 2015. Although finding this Bed and Breakfast wasn't easy (and my GPS failed to show me the easiest route), the happy barking of the house (guard) dog and the friendly reception of the owners made a great first impression. If you're looking for the ultimate Swedish overnight stay (red house, white trim, locally produced breakfast, comfy beds and quaint environment) I'd be thrilled to recommend Wiborgsgården B&B to you. Although I stayed in the main house, several of the rooms are situated in separate outhouse buildings (old, traditional) and I can't vouch for the standard of these. My room, with ensuite toilet/shower, however, was brilliant. Loads of space and extremely comfortable (though narrow) beds, also in a traditional style. All in all, my overnight stay at Wiborgsgården B&B was very pleasant and I especially enjoyed the beds and the breakfast (which was served round the back in an old barn - absolutely unique!) and would be more than happy to return here.
