Pajala Cottages

We visited Pajala during Christmas holidays on the weekend. Pajala Cottages are tidy and clean, all equipment for overnight stays like dishes, cutlery, maschines, TV, and furniture was enough and in a good state. The reception was nice and firendly. But... First trouble: Pajala Cottages and Pajala Camping are the same place, but only P. Camping is shown on the road signs and there is no hint in the description on this. Second: Although we have rented a cottage for two, we have got a guest house with a large multi sleeper bedroom (5 beds) with a kitchen, but toilets and shower had to be reached by walking outside around the house. It was sayed, they do not have small cottages for the winter, cause heating is to expensive. But there was three out of several of those cottages with included bathrooms occupied by other guests! And third: If the place is running a restaurant, but NOT around the year, they should in my eyes write about this in their description, too. We were planning to arrive late and thought of having no trouble with dinner cause of the restaurant at this place. O.k. this was closed, just go into the village. Well, on Saturdays (!) it should not be a problem around 20:30-21:00 to go out for a meal, but not in Pajala! Restaurants of the hotels were totally shut down, the TexMex-Pizzeria and the Burger are closing at 21:00, during the week even at 20:00. Luckily, the woman at the Burger still wanted to work at 20:55... And last: If there is a fireplace, there should be wood stored next to it to be able to use it.
