The most amazing hosts!! What a warm welcome and stay at this lovely hotel in beautiful Dalarna ❤️ The service was outstanding. Great breakfast, dinner and social areas. A huge plus for gluten free options! Highly recommend this place. I’ll be back!

I have stayed at this hotel several times now, while attending events at the nearby "Folkets Park Skeer". It is easy to find and lovely situated. You can reach the beautiful lake Siljan in just a few minutes walking distance.
The owners are very friendly and eager to make you feel satisfied and content.
The hotel has a very personal and nice atmosphere and is in old classical style; something that I prefer over modern and fancy. 
My room, the breakfast, the cleanliness, the service - all quite satisfying! 
Plenty of parking spaces conveniently located.
So i highly recommend this hotel and I look forward to a new visit shortly.

We spent one night in July and loved to stay at the hotel. The location is very good -short drive from the main road but in the middle of  beautiful, tranquille Swedish country life.  We had a concert tickets to Dalhalla, so we moved to another location near Rättvik as we were afraid that from Kungshaga it might be too long drive to Dalhalla but it was a huge mistake as the distances are short and we could have stayed in Kungshaga as the area and the hotel are very nice.
There is a nice quiet beach ca 1,5 km from the hotel (ask directions from the hotel) where only local people are going. Hotel is clean, good food, room was maybe a bit out-dated but it was big and oh boy what a million dollar view to the lake! We truly regretted that spent there only one night. I would strongly recommend the hotel, it is a very good value for money.

We visited for 2 nights in July and had a very pleasant stay. It was easy to find and the hotel room/amenities were good. The breakfast had plenty of options with local products and the dinners were excellent! It is really a beautiful area with lots of things to see and do. The owners were very friendly and gave us some good tips on what to see in the area. From the hotel it was just a short walk to the lake where we did some kayaking (which we rented from the hotel) at night taking advantage of the long summer days. The views were just spectacular! Would highly recommend this hotel

Lovely place for a week of wintersports. The hotel is run by a kind Dutch couple. His cooking is fantastic, her hospitality is memorable. They really do everything to make the guests feel at home. The building is spacious and decorated in a typical swedish classic style. I disagree with other reviews that describe this location as 'from the 60s' and 'needs a paint'. 
We recommend to hire a car as there is enough to explore in the region but you defintely will need a car.
it is a pity hardly any hotel can offer a two persons mattress (I hate the gap in between two single matresses). And the WiFi is enough to send a WhatsApp-message but not enough to view an 8 sec videoclip (rooms are limited to 1 M per sec). Upgrade is Work In Progress as the owners told me. Television in room: big screen but only a couple of Swedish channels.
We came especially for ice-skating on the Orsa lake but both the weather (snow) limited that and the local ice club is run by senior citizens so even at noon the tracks had not yet been prepped and they only shave the ice and do not sweep it with brushes (so cracks remain covered with snow).
There were enough alternative activities such as hiking, snow scootering, visit to copper mine Falun, the wild park Grönklitten et cetera.
Consider to fly from Stockholm (versus train): good connection and relatively cheap.
SUMMARY: great value for money.

A pleasant stay in a 3 bed room. Good food and lovely surroundings.

Everything was nice and clean. Furniture etc in the rooms we had seemed in nice shape/not scratchy and worn etc. Real classic/old style. Nice and clean and very friendly reception and breakfast service. The bathrooms was old style. No problems, but not tiles and fancy ... All in all very good value for money.
We had a double room with a small dog and a single room with no pets allowed. All in all very satisfied. And no problems finding, as it was clearly marked from the E45.

Good money for value

We stayed here as part of a large group. As a family of 5 we were given the large 2bdrm apartment on the bottom floor near reception (main room with double bed and folder bed, 2nd room with 2 singles) reasonable sized rooms. Was a bath shower (which I am not a fan of with children) everything was neat and tidy, clean rooms.
Main room had lovely view looking down to the water.
Plenty of free parking, wifi was included and reception/speed of the wifi was good.
We ate in the restaurant and it was a lovely meal. It was a prearranged menu, just sadly there was no choice for mains so we had one child hardly eat anything as they were not keen on the main dish (and there was no alternative available) 
Lovely selection of small gift items. 
Hotel is no smoking inside and they encourage people to sit on the verandah at the entry, except doors are left open and all smoke flows back into hotel which was disgusting. Kind of defeats the purpose of having it as non smoking.
