There are a number of nice places to stay in and around Orsa but I would sum up Strandvillan as a true gem. The hotel is centrally located in Orsa and yet with its beautiful setting on "Lillån" something completely different. Our hosts Carola and Håkan Carlsson are very easy to get on with and were more than willing to share ideas and give usable tips as to things to do in and around Orsa. Truly hospitable and helpful. Taking time out from running their hotel to engage with their guests without being intruding. From Strandvillan it is only a short walk to the local shops and restaurants in this small "village". Beautiful walking paths run close-by which give a wonderful view of "Lillån". A very relaxing 3-night stay.
