Ombergs Golf Resort

We stayed 2-days/1-night on a golf package incl dinner, and we had a great time at Omberg. What stands out the most is the very friendly, professional and welcoming staff in the reception, in the restaurant and even out on the golf course. We played 2 rounds of golf, and the course is very good! It's targeting mid-handicapers, and is offering fairly wide fairways (in excellent condition) and rather large greens. Still challenging though, with water lining or crossing a few holes, and good length on all holes. Very nice surroundings, incl fields, cows and lake Vättern. Good practice facilities incl driving range, 2 putting greens and a par-3 course. A very nice golf course! Rooms are functional, incl bathroom with shower. Clean and in good condition. You also have access to changing rooms with lockers, where there's a sauna, and a "relax area" with jacuzzi etc (the relax area costs 100SEK/p). Good breakfast buffet in the morning. We had a 3-course dinner which was very well composed, and tasty. It came with two alternative wine-packages, which also were very good. Excellent and professional service in the restaurant by AH! So, to sum up this was a great total experience. Really very good golf, nice surroundings, good hotel and very good food! Recommended for a relaxing golf weekend for anything from couples to groups!
