This is a really nice hotel to stay at. The food is excellent, and you got a lot of opportunities to choose about regarding the price. The breakfast and dinner is excellent. You have close to fishing and hiking. The trail to the Jamtlands trail system starts just one km away. If you want to do a short hike, go for the "Silverfallet" a fantastic mountain waterfall..

The owner was great.  Very friendly and helpful.  The place was very clean and quiet.  I would definitely stay there again.

We had a great weekend at this remarkable place, which has preserved the interior and atmosphere of early 20th century. The food was outstanding. There were tracks for cross-country skiing starting outside the front door. A good starting point for hiking any time of the year.

Was traveling through Norway, and decided to take a little foray into Sweden and stumbled across this spot. Part of why I loved it was that it was early in the season, so we were the only ones there.

There are plenty of other reasons I loved this place, and it will be one of those places I'll always yearn to return.

A great place for anyone who appreciates nature. The surroundings are picturesque (not to mention the complex itself!) and the housing is private and comfortable. What impressed me most was the amazing, well-balanced and extremely tasty meals served for dinner!

We found ourselves standing by the road, in the snow, at night, unable to reach our planned accommodation (thanks, in part, to incomplete advice and a far from helpful attitude from the nearby hostel in Storvallen, where we had unfortunately booked). We walked down the road to this lovely lodge, and a friendly man came to the door, before we had even knocked. He immediately offered us a room for the night. We loved this place. It had a wonderful warm atmosphere. It is in its own little valley - quite beautiful. It is very quiet. The breakfast was first class. We would stay here again in a heartbeat.

A true gastronomic experience

The location is absolutely beautiful BUT this place needs to do some simple improvements. The room we stayed at was low standard and has no air fan or anything. We were 4 people boiling in a room that we couldn't open due to mosquitoes that swirled outside. We got one small window with a net that we could attach and open but that alone wasn't enough. Plus it had hole so we got a bunch of mosquitoes feeding on us. 
I can't think that it would be a expensive 
 thing to just buy net and nail it to all windows in the summer. 
When we asked for one more such windowhalf  we were met with lack of interest to look for if and they said that there was probably no more. It felt like if summer season hadn't really started yet for the staff and they were maybe not yet into it to help us up. When we asked about other things we were again met with lack of interest. Sleepless night and we even considered sleeping in the car.
