We stayed two nights at this wonderful place. Owners are very friendly and welcoming! The apartment was newly renovated and lovely. Sauna is available in the afternoons. Free parking and free WiFi. It is located at walking distance to the Vemdalen center with restaurants and some shops. A place we highly recommend! 

Spent one night here before we got our cabin that we booked. Great owners which arranged for us to make a late checkin. The rooms where very tidy. And good according to the price. The place had free parking. It was very quiet and we ate our breakfust with great view.

The hostel is located in the little Vemdalen village. The original building was built in 1843 and has been carefully renovated. The rooms are simply furnished, cosy and comfortable. The beds are great.  It is a 5 minutes walk to a well-stocked supermarket. You use the well-equipped kitchen to cook your own food. Breakfast can be pre-ordered for groups. There are great hiking areas close by as well as mountain-biking opportunities and skiing in the winter. The owners are very friendly and recommend hiking tracks to take and areas to visit. You can travel by bus from Stockholm to Vemdalen village, but to get to starting points for most hikes you probably need a car - that would be the only drawback with the location.

A welcome hosting, simple living, guesthouse style, generous common areas,well equipped kitchen for self-catering.I think there are rooms for different needs
A little price tag!
But oh what a potential to renovate this fine old house for something grand.
