I’m a world traveler and I have to say this is one of the most charming hotels guest houses I’ve stayed in and that’s saying a lot. It’s full of history and You can’t help but be amazed and wowed by this place. All the convinces as well. I can’t wait to return.

Spectacular place

This is a perfect place to combine the Swedish inland atmosphere Zorn style with close access to the outdoors. We choose this place for our conference as was not disappointed. 

Marianne, the host, helped with ideas for activities which included "kyrkbåtsrodd" rowing boats on the lake, carving Dala horses and visiting the Zorn house. There are also great opportunities for training with nice trail runs nearby and of course cross country skiing in the winter.

The house is lovely with many rooms to fit plenty of people, a great communal area for dinners and good sized kitchen for cooking.

All in all, great experience and we would love to come back again!

Fantastic house and setting for a conference!

If you are visiting Sweden in a group and want to experience “the real Sweden” this is the perfect house and location. 

The house itself is brilliant. Cosy, spacious, old fashioned with all the modern commodities for a comfortable stay. The perfect house for a group holiday or a celebration. 

The location is also excellent. Mora is close to beautiful countryside. Hiking, biking, fishing, golf and much more. The house is close enough to a lake for morning coffee or a night swim and the house has plenty of space inside and outside.

Highly recommended for any visitors to Sweden that want to feel like they really are in Sweden.

The Real Sweden

A nice place to stay when in Mora. Typically Dalarna country style furnishing. Very charming collection of old textiles and furniture. Not really suitable for families with children but a very good choice for a countryside gateway for parents :). Some might get a museum like feeling when stepping into the house but once you explore everything the home feeling kicks in.
On the negative side -lack of shower in the room and a little too dirty. 8 months pregnant i was forced to clean the toilet room before using it. It might be a little crowded if all the rooms are occupied. We were lucky - were the only guests that week-end. 
It felt a little bit too expensive for what it offers. Also, no walking distance to the town center. A car ride is needed. 

10+ for the wonderful lady that served us breakfast.
